The hole is pre-drilled with a diameter less than or equal to the nominal dowel diameter.
Used for mounting of concealed beam hangers and structural post bases
Used where incorporated steel plates are part of an assembly detail in timber
Chamfers make it easier to insert the elements into the wood.
Ø8 and Ø12 galvanized design, beveled at the ends
