Tread bars in DIN 975 are universal usable fasteners. Thread bars are offered with various diameters and length. There are also various options in the quality of material and kinds of refining. The advantage of thread bars is the possibility to screw on nuts to both sides and with this to customize the size of the bar. Intermediate length and special length are possible for economical production batches.
Thread bars are metal bars with an external thread throughout the entire length of the bar. There are standardized bars available in 1-meter length but also in 2- and 3-meter length. Shorter sizes are known as threaded part, distance bolt or anchor rod. To differentiate the different kinds of thread bars, they are marked in front with color. The most common quality classes are 4.8 and 8.8. They are used in wood construction, general engineering, automotive engineering and others. For the chemical industry, food technology and boat- and ship building tread rods from stainless steel V2A or V4A are used.
