Connection of new walls to existing structures

 C2KS is a communications system that can be used with most popular formats masonry blocks and the renovation and new construction work.

Profile C2KS can be used in masonry thickness: 60mm

Material

• Profile: stainless steel
• Screws: M6 x 50 mm stainless steel
• Wall plug: high density polyethylene, suitable for connections with solid brick
• Direction of loading: lateral force from plate loading

Installation

• All stated fasteners must be used.
• The C2KS will be screwed/ doweled in the bottom chord.
• Dowels should be mounted into the solid brick and not into the motar joint.
• For other masonry must be used according to the approved consolidation
• The integrated horiziontal joint straps will be bend directly before brick laying, till they part from the profile.
• After stting the stone tou can move the stap and lay onto the stone.
• Insert and embed the horizontal joint straps im motar with a distance of max. 300 mm.
• In wet ares it might be necessary to install a additional wet protection onto the existing wall,  such as a waterproofing paper or a water-resistant insulating layer.
